Chapter 11
Adrian furrowed his eyebrows and stared suspiciously at Victoria. His gaze then fell upon Summer.
“Who…who is she…” There was a tremble in Victoria’s voice as she asked Jasper that.
Jasper furrowed his eyebrows. He thought that Victoria was questioning his relationship with Summer. “Vic, I’ve already explained this to you. She’s just a sugar baby I kept in one of my mansions. I no longer keep in touch with her.”
“Summer… Summer Plath? You are Summer Plath?” Victoria asked nervously. A chill was running down her spine as she clutched her hands together.
Summer took a step backward without being aware of it. She was tremendously terrified.
Jasper had threatened her before that if she appeared before Victoria and upset her…
Things would not go down well for her.
“N-no…” Summer was almost in tears as she shook her head. She wanted to deny the relationship between her and Jasper, but she could not bring herself to do it.
She really loved this man, after all.
Why was he so cruel toward her?
Who was she to him, anyway? She was merely a sugar baby who he kept in one of his mansions. That was all.
“Summer Plath…” Victoria’s face was pale as she repeated, and she was getting more and more anxious. “Is she the idiot you mentioned who lost her memory in an accident?”
She was not dead! She was actually alive!
“Yeah. She’s just an idiot.”
…..
Summer raised her head to glance at Jasper. She bit her bottom lip as she turned and left without caring about what was going on.
Why would she stay there? To be humiliated even more?
Jasper’s gaze darkened when he saw Summer walking away.
This woman was getting more and more gutsy. She actually dared to show her dissatisfaction toward him now!
“Bro, even rabbits bite when their limits are pushed.” Adrian shook his head and tapped Jasper’s shoulder.
Adrian took a few steps forward before he stopped to look at Victoria. “You know Summer?”
Victoria was in a daze, and she looked like she had just seen something that horrified her greatly. “N-no”
Adrian narrowed his eyes and continued, “Let me rephrase that. Did you know Summer before she lost her memory?”
Victoria raised her head abruptly to look at Adrian, and she slowly took a few steps backward without being aware of it. “N-no.”
“Adrian, don’t you have anything to do at the hospital?” Jasper asked in a warning tone as he quickly pulled Victoria into his embrace.
“Yeah, I’m pretty free.” Adrian flashed a profound smile. Victoria… She was definitely keeping a secret.
At the carpark.
“Why are you crying again? There are plenty of fish in the sea. What do you think about me? Jasper doesn’t want you anymore, anyway. Why don’t you get rid of the baby and date me?” Adrian quickened his pace to catch up with Summer. He was walking backward so that he could face Summer as he spoke.
“Go away…” Summer looked anxiously at Adrian and covered her belly with her hands without being aware of it.
This was her baby. She would never get rid of it.
Adrian twisted his lips and decided to stop joking. “That woman just now is called Victoria Dawn. Do you know her? Do you remember anything about her? Try recalling if you used to know her in the past.”
Summer shook her head. The only thing she knew about Victoria was that whenever she had s*x with Jasper, he would call out Victoria’s name.
“Silly thing, you should really start using your head.” Adrian had always been suspicious when it came to Summer’s true identity. He seriously wondered if this little thing would hate Jasper if she managed to recover her past memories one day.
At the rented place.
Adrian received an emergency call from the hospital. He dropped Summer off by the roadside and drove away in a rush.
The area where the rented house was located was a slum, and there were plenty of hooligans around.
Summer carefully tried keeping a distance from them. She carefully hugged the stuff she was holding against her chest.
She treasured the cell phone Adrian bought her very much. If Jasper ever missed her, he might give her a call… If he never did, she could still read news articles about him and take a look at his photographs.
“Eh, where did this chick come from? Why have I not seen her before? What a hot chick!”
A young hooligan by the roadside was leaning against the wall and whistling to Summer.
Summer was so frightened that tears welled up in her eyes. She did not dare to cry or scream.
“Where are you going?”
The fact that Summer looked so frightened gave the hooligans the guts to stand in her way. “What are you holding? You look like you treasure it a lot.”
“N-nothing.” Summer was so frightened that she cried. There was a tremble in her voice as she slowly took a few steps backward.
She had never left Jasper’s mansion all year after losing her memory.
To her, the outside world was a strange and terrifying place.
“What treasure are you holding? Come on, let me take a look.”
“Such a beautiful chick! Why don’t you let me love you?”
“Ah!” Summer tripped on a stone and fell to the floor. Her cell phone fell into the mud too.
She picked it up in a flustered manner and anxiously held it close to her chest. She dialed Jasper’s number. “My boyfriend will be coming very soon… D-don’t touch me.”
