No matter how much sense Aaron made, I refused to open my mouth, showing him no respect.
He gave up after our argument stagnated for a long time, sitting quietly beside the bed. I heard him sigh.
It was strange. I was surprised that he was willing to stick around despite my attitude. Not only was he not angry with me, but he also seemed to be waiting for me to drink the soup. He wouldn't leave until I finished it.
His phone rang, breaking the long and awkward silence. He went out to answer the call, but I instantly heard him returning.
I had just emerged from the sheets, and our eyes locked.

"Yes, I can't go just yet. I'm dealing with something. I'm busy, I can't leave.
"If it's urgent, talk to your family. I'm busy, I'm hanging up."
