"Are you almost home?" I asked, wondering how many times I had asked this question today.
I was sure that Natasha would be regretting telling me anything but I couldn't help myself. I was glad that she was coming home because I had missed her a lot.
She chuckled. "No, I'm not almost home. You asked me that two minutes ago and I told you I wasn't."
"It's possible you could have gotten nearer in the last two minutes."
She snorted. "I told you two minutes ago that I was miles away from Middletown. How could the car have covered a distance from there to Middletown in the last two minutes? Am I driving in the space or do you think I added wings to the car after your call?"
I blushed at her words, glad that she couldn't see me. "I'm sorry. I went overboard with my eagerness to see you."
"I want to see you too. You don't have to be sorry." She chuckled. "I've missed my younger sister a lot."
