Chapter 4
My forehead creased while I watched how this whore held onto my husband's chest.
I balled my fist while glaring at the guest artist. Why did they even invite her when the segment's about my baby Bullet's interview?
Attention seeker.
"Darling?" I turned to the door when I saw mom peeked in.
I instantly giggled and stood up from the bed. I quickly ran to my mother.
"Hi, mommy, what is it?" I asked while smiling and clasped my hands.
"Aw, you're so sweet. I just want to talk to you, darling." Mommy closed the door and guided me to sit on the bed.
"What is it, mom? Did I do something wrong?" I whispered anxiously.
"No, of course!" she worriedly said. She hugged me before kissing my forehead.
"What are you gonna say?" I asked and pouted.
"I just want to ask you about your passion. It's been a while since you last danced, don't you want to form a group again?" Mom said with worry.
I bitterly smiled before removing the lollipop from my mouth. "Mom, I don't want to dance again."
She combed my hair using her fingers. "But you are a great dancer, just like your brother. You're famous back then, why don't you want to try again? I'm afraid that you'll completely forget to do your passion because you're busy with Bullet."
I shook my head. "Mom, I love Bullet, he's not the reason why I stopped dancing. R-Remember? They betrayed me, mom. I trust those girls but all they showed me were purely lies."
She smiled at me sweetly. "I know, dear. I'm sorry if I made you remember that. Me, your daddy, and your brother will always support you regardless of your decision."
I pouted my lips to suppress myself from crying. "You're the sweetest, mom! I love you. Hug please?"
Mom immediately pulled me for a hug. "Only the best, for my daughter."
"Mom, I wanna say something. I want to be honest with you because I'm afraid God will get mad at me," I said with hesitation.
Mom removed herself from the hug and faced me with confusion on her face. "What is it, darling?"
"Yesterday, I met Bullet, and something possessed me. I called him my husband, mom, I'm so dumb," I whispered embarrassingly.
Mom laughed. "Oh gosh, darling, I never expected you to be this honest."
I was about to say something when Nanny Solis entered my room. She came to us with excitement.
"Maxreign, dear. Your husband is here!" she exclaimed.
I stood up from my bed with widened eyes. "Omygosh! He might court me now!"
I quickly ran outside and peeked at the living room below. I saw my brother's group mates sitting on the sofa.
I hurriedly ran downstairs. I giggled.
"Hi, Bullet!" I greeted him with a smile.
His eyes went to me but it quickly went back to the laptop. I pouted and ran to their direction.
"Hi, Reign!" Max's group mates greeted.
I smiled and waved at them and sat beside my Bullet.
"Hi, my husband. Why are you here? Are you gonna court me?" I asked and beamed at him.
He didn't spare a glance and looked busy which made me pout.
"Why are you ignoring baby Reign, master? Just give Reign to me, you'll be happy with me forever," Niccolo said flirtatiously which made me roll my eyes.
"I don't want you, I'm loyal to him," I quickly answered and even clung onto Bullet's arm.
He still ignored me, still busy with whatever he was doing.
I should be happy because he doesn't let anyone touch him, but why am I included?
"Reign, what the. Let go of Bullet!" my brother shouted when he suddenly went out of the kitchen.
He pulled me away from Bullet which made my lips part. I immediately cried in despair. "Max!"
"Reign, go upstairs. One," he threatened.
I pouted and frowned. "You're so mean, I barely see Bullet and you're interrupting it."
My brother dragged me upstairs, his face was angry but the way he pulled me was still gentle.
"Ouch, Max, what is it?" I asked with knitted brows when we finally reached upstairs.
"Reign, I know that Bullet is your crush. But it's not right to do that, it's not how a decent woman behaves," he calmly said.
I pouted my lips. "I just clung onto his arm, Max. What's wrong with that?"
"Reign, you are a decent woman. You can't do that to any guy!" he added.
I stomped my feet. "But he's not any other guy, kuya. He's my future husband!"
My eyes twinkled with that thought.
He massaged his temple. "Just listen to me, pumpkin. Don't get too close to Bullet like that. Only desperate women do that, okay?"
I shook my head. "Why can't a girl do the first move?"
"It's not about that, Reign, for goodness sake!" he exclaimed.
My nostrils widened. "I'm so mad at you, Max. Sorry. I'm mad at you."
He took a deep breathe. "I'm sorry if your big brother scolded you, I just don't want to see you like that. Just listen to me, okay?"
He ruffled my hair before going downstairs. I was teary-eyed while watching his back disappear.
I slowly went down the stairs and peeked at Bullet. He's so handsome!
"Wow, what a greek god," I whispered while watching him type on his laptop.
I sighed, it's hard to be in this situation, I'm just peeking at him from afar.
My eyes widened when Max's eyes darted on me. He clenched his jaw.
"Maxreign Adalee!"
"Wah, Max!" I cried and ran to my room so he wouldn't scold me again.
I immediately closed the door and held my chest in fear.
"That was close!" I whispered to myself.
