Damien Green
Lucky's POV
"Lucky, it was just one mistake. Can't you forgive me?"
I balled my fists as I pushed his hand away. He's been chasing me for two weeks and a half now. After the night I broke up with him, I decided to have my revenge.
I went to a hospital and underwent artificial insemination.
I know that was crazy, but it was the only way to make him suffer and at the same time give my dearest mother the grandchild she's been waiting for. Desperation and anger pushed me to do something impulsive but I don't feel any guilt or regret at all.
My lips trembled, he froze because of that. I glared at him. "I don't care if it's just one mistake. I don't fcking give a damn, Peter. The point here is you fcked another woman behind my back. You betrayed me!"
His eyes glistened. "Lucky..."
"Don't call my name and don't follow me again. I already told you, Peter. We're over."
"Lucky, please! I love you and I have a reason why I did that!"
Tears rolled down my cheeks uncontrollably. "You have a reason? What reason, Peter? You want to explore? You want to fulfill your sexual fantasies? You fcking cheated on me, Peter!"
"You also cheated on me, Lucky!"
C-Cheated? Since when did I cheat?
My jaws dropped as I slowly turned to him. "W-What did you say?"
His eyes darkened. "I know you still love your ex-boyfriend. I know you're still hiding him in your heart. I can feel it, Lucky!"
I slapped him as tears abruptly rolled down my cheeks. "How dare you accuse me!"
He grabbed his hair in frustration. "I can feel it, Lucky. I love you so much but you're not really mine. I can feel it whenever you kiss me. I can feel it whenever we make love. I only own your body but not your heart and soul. You betrayed me too, Lucky. You've been hiding the fact that you're still in love with your ex and you're just using me—"
"HOW DARE YOU TURN THE TABLES, PETER!"
"You weren't faithful too, Lucky. I can still see that you're not over Damien Green."
I sobbed because of the burden that suddenly rose in my heart. He's unbelievable!
"I-I admit I just used you in the beginning. But I fell in love with you, Peter. You made me fall in love with you!" I said angrily, violently pushing his chest using my forefinger.
He was shocked. His lips parted. "Lucky…"
I shook my head. "E-Even if you feel that way, you shouldn't have cheated on me. You could've just confronted me, Peter. You can simply ask me but you didn't. You just jumped into conclusions and chose to cheat on me. You chose to lose me."
He tried to hold my arm. "Lucky, please… Let's start over again. I'm sorry… I'm sorry for cheating on you. Please! Forgive me. Let me make it up to you."
"Too late, Peter," I said in an icy tone. "The damage has been done."
I was about to get into the taxi but Peter didn't want to let me go. Just as he was trying to pull me out of the car, a big firm hand stopped him. And I froze in my place when I recognized the owner of this hand. My breathing became hitch as I met a pair of familiar eyes looking down at me while clenching his jaws.
Damien Green?
My first love and first boyfriend. The man I… dumped without giving him an explanation.
Why is he here? The last thing I heard about him is that he migrated to another country.
Pain and fear consumed me as I thought of one possible reason why he came back.
Revenge. That's the most plausible reason I can think of.
12 years ago, I left him, which was close to ruining him, as well as myself.
My eyes raked his whole body. He is still that handsome, but more mature.
Wearing a buttoned long sleeve polo while the first two were unbuttoned, he stood there with pride and authority. His forehead was creased. His hair was disheveled. His sinful lips are so red and wet. He's like a Greek god standing in the middle of the crowd. Everyone would look his way because he literally steals attention.
One word to describe him. Perfect.
God! I felt my world stop as I stared at that face. He matured but I'm certain it's him. I will never forget his stares. I will never forget his face. The face of the man whom I gave my everything to.
Tears pooled in the corner of my eyes as I felt a searing pain in my heart. I admit I was impulsive when I broke up with him.
He doesn't even know the reason why I broke up with him. Just the same as he didn't know what his parents had done to my family.
Damien stared at me with his brooding eyes. I can feel his fury.
"Get your hand off of me and back off! She is my girlfriend!" Peter glared at him as he forcefully pushed Damien’s hand off of him.
I almost forget about Peter. He’s glaring at Damien, who’s intimidatingly taller than him.
He doesn't recognize Damien. Should I be grateful about that fact?
"Obviously she doesn't want to talk to you." Damien said coldly after he slowly bore his lazy eyes on him.
Peter groaned. “Back off, man! I’m talking to my girlfriend.”
Girlfriend? He still has the guts to call me that after what he did to me? I want to shout at him but I’m too weak and tired to even open my lips to speak.
Damien glanced at me and his eyes never left my face again. I looked away as my heart clenched in pain.
“She doesn’t want to talk to you. And from my perspective, she’s not your girlfriend.”
”Who the hell are you to meddle with our business? Lucky is my girlfriend. We just had a fight!”
I lifted my face and looked at them. Damien’s face was dark as he faced Peter completely. “You shouldn’t force a woman even if you had a fight. Let her go.”
“JUST WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?”
“You would never want to know.”
Peter laughed. I was about to get in the taxi when Peter grabbed my arm again. “Lucky–”
“I said let her go!”
I gasped when Damien pushed Peter causing him to lose his balance and fell on the ground. My lips parted as I slowly turned to Damien. And then Peter, who didn’t like what he did, attacked him.
I jumped in shock when Damien dodged his attack and punched him in the face. Peter fell on the ground again, lips bleeding.
I was dumbfounded and frustrated. Why did things go this way?
Meet the man I dumped and the man who dumped me, at the same time. What does my fate want?
Why can't Peter just give up and let me go? And Damian, why should he insist standing before me as if he still cared about me?
He hates me, doesn't he?
Sighing a long breath, I raised my voice, "Enough!"Then the two both turned to look at me and I avoided Damien but looked seriously at Peter.
“It should be over.” After speaking it out, I opened the taxi’s door and slipped myself inside it. I can hear Peter calling my name but I ignored him.
My heart is in turmoil.
Maybe Peter was right. I can never forget Damien.
I buried my face in my hands, letting tears fall down.
Is this some kind of karma? Is this my karma for dumping Damien?
But his family ruined mine. I didn't do anything wrong!
