4 Kiss Beside Taxi

Freiherr’s eyes burned with intensity, his gaze piercing through Calantha’s very soul. She felt a shiver run down her spine as her hand lingered on his chiseled jawline, the warmth of his skin sending tremors through her fingertips. “I’m Freiherr.” “Wha-“ “My name. I’m Freiherr.” “Okay, Sir. I’m Calantha.” "Oh... Calantha! The name of an Angel I met." Freiherr’s voice was low and husky, his words barely above a whisper. Yet, they resonated deep within her, like a gentle caress on a summer breeze. “Feel free to call me just Freiherr.” Calantha’s heart raced as she struggled to find her voice, her mouth dry from the sudden tension between them. "F-Freiherr," she stuttered, her eyes locked on his, unable to break free from the spell that bound them. As their names hung in the air, the tension between them became almost palpable. Freiherr’s eyes never left Calantha’s, his gaze burning with an intensity that made her heart race. He leaned in closer. She felt like she was drowning in the depths of his eyes, yet she couldn't look away. Calantha’s hand still lingered on Freiherr’s jawline, her fingers tracing the sharp angles of his face. She felt a jolt of electricity run through her body as if her touch had awakened a spark within him. Freiherr raised his hand, his fingers brushing against Calantha’s cheek. It was a gentle touch, yet it sent shivers down her spine. "You're stunning, Calantha," he whispered. Calantha’s breath caught in her throat as she felt herself getting lost in the moment. She couldn't remember the last time she'd felt such a strong connection with someone. It was as if the universe had brought them together, and nothing could tear them apart. There was a sudden beep from her watch. “Oh no, I-I have to go now!” She didn’t know when she left the store, running with her heels on. Freiherr chased after her. “Calantha, wait!” She had already stopped a cab when he reached her. “I’m so sorry, but I really don’t want trouble at the office. I have to go now. I really appreciate your help.” The tension was palpable as Freiherr nodded silently, his eyes fixed on Calantha’s. She continued explaining, her words tumbling out in a nervous rush. "You really shouldn’t let them boss you around; they don’t pay you." As Calantha was about to step into the taxi, she felt a strong grip on her hand. She turned back; Freiherr was holding her, his eyes burning with an intensity that made her heart race. There was something different about his mood, a subtle shift that made her want to stay. Without a word, he pulled her closer, her hand resting on his well-built body. Calantha felt a jolt of electricity run through her as if her touch had awakened a spark within him. She gazed up at him, her eyes locked on his, and for a moment, they just stood there, the world around them melting away. Freiherr’s eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched. "I..," He leaned in, his lips begging hers to open up. She invited him in, and their lips intertwined with each other. It was a soft and gentle kiss, yet electrifying and intense. As they pulled away from each other, gasping for air, the sound of the taxi horn broke through the spell that had been cast over them. They both laughed, knowing they had kept the driver waiting. With a sly smile, she took Freiherr’s hand and wrote her number on his palm, her fingers tracing the digits with a gentle touch. "Don't lose it! I'll kill you, Sir Freiherr." Calantha joked, her eyes sparkling with mischief. Freiherr watched, captivated by the way her eyes crinkled at the corners as she smiled. Calantha leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to his lips. "I have to go now," she whispered, her breath tickling his ear. With that, she turned and slipped into the taxi, leaving Freiherr standing on the sidewalk, his heart racing and his palm clutching the precious digits. That was when the chauffeur drove in, horning gently for his attention.
