Chapter 155 Caleb's Suspicion
"Matthew, is something wrong?" Clara asked.
"Nothing's wrong. Just focus on eating. Let David handle this," he smiled, patting her head gently.
"Okay." Clara nodded.
After getting injured, Clara lay on the bed like a tired turtle, looking quite lethargic.
Aurora, clutching her stomach, pleaded with Clara to recount the details of Carl's death once more.
Clara patiently repeated the story several times, but Aurora still wanted to hear more, until Clara's voice was practically dry.
"Hey, aren't you tired of hearing this over and over? Even if you're not, I certainly am," Clara finally said, refusing to repeat herself.
They spent the afternoon in the room. Aurora had planned to go out for some food, but just then, Matthew returned with a meal. "Clara, it's time for dinner."
Matthew went to the kitchen and started preparing food for Clara.
She sat at the table, watching him arrange the dishes, and asked, "Did you resolve your issues?"
"Almost done," he nodded.
