I didn't bother hiding my sad expression or wiping my tears on seeing Frank. I was just too weak and overwhelmed; in fact, seeing him made me cry more bitterly.
“Are you okay?” he asked and immediately highlighted from his car, rushing over to me.
“What’s wrong?” he asked again, but I still couldn't reply. He pulled me into a hug I couldn't refuse, gently patting my shoulders. Truly, he's someone I hate, but right now, he's my only source of consolation.
“Whatever it is, it's going to be fine. I promise,” he said as we disengaged, but that didn't stop me from crying. It was still like a dream to me. I was out of George's life, just like that.
“Let me give you a ride,” he said, and I badly wanted to refuse, but I couldn't. I was too overwhelmed, and my sad emotions seemed uncontrollable.
He took my luggage into the booth after it automatically opened itself before proceeding to open the front car door.
