Chapter 11
Logan hurriedly denied.
"I didn't, I didn't think about torturing James. He is also my son!"
Logan paused when he said this, and then looked at Teresa seriously,
"My experience tells me that feelings can be cultivated, and feelings can be cultivated after getting along for a long time! That's why I forced James to marry Giselle. I thought he would fall in love with her after a long time--"
It stands to reason that his remarks are an indirect admission that he has fallen in love with Teresa for so many years and it can be regarded as a confession, but Teresa was not happy at all when she heard it. Instead, she laughed and mocked him,
"Are you saying you have fallen in love with me for so many years?"
Logan stood there while pursuing his lips, without denying it.
Teresa suddenly shed tears.
"It's a pity that your confession came too late. I don't have any feelings for you anymore."
Teresa said word by word in her tears.
"Logan if I still love you and you die, I would like to be buried with you, but now, I don't want to live with you because I don't love you anymore."
Then she turned around, carrying her suitcase, and wanted to leave.
Logan was shocked by her last resolute words, so he stumbled on the table beside him. Seeing this, his daughter Faith had to step forward and support her father.
Giselle, who had no chance to speak since entering the door, was also shocked. After hearing her mother-in-law's resolute words and seeing her decisive expression with her own eyes, she really believed that Faith said on the phone that her mother-in-law was about to divorce is real.
To be honest, although Giselle wanted to divorce, she never thought that her decision would affect the marriage of another couple, not to mention that these couples are already both old.
She felt very guilty for a while and quickly raised her hand to stop Terese who was about to leave with the suitcase.
"Mom, you—"
However, after she spoke, she found that she was the one who had the least position to persuade her because she herself was determined to get a divorce.
In desperation, she had no choice but to look at James who was aside, hoping that he could stop his mother, who knew that after giving her a stern look, she turned to Faith.
"Faith, take mom to your place first!"
James was also taken aback by his mother's last words. His mother's determination made him clearly understand that it is better for parents to separate and calm down for a while.
Faith also has her own residence outside and she is also a daughter. It would be more appropriate for her mother to live with her temporarily. Although James wanted to settle his mother in his own home, he thought that he and Giselle were still in chaos so he didn't.
Faith listened to her brother's instructions, and after setting up Logan on the sofa, she stepped forward to help her mother leave with luggage. Although Logan was reluctant, he was helpless.
For a while, only Giselle, James and Logan were left in the huge living room.
The atmosphere was a bit heavy and depressing. James's relationship with his dad was already very bad. Now that his mother insists on divorcing him, James doesn't have a good face to him.
Giselle thought for a while and finally decided to break the silence, but her words were for her father-in-law.
"Dad, I'm sorry."
Teresa mentioned the divorce and it was because of her.
Logan, who was sitting slumped on the sofa, seemed a lot older at once. After listening to her words, he smiled and shook his head.
"The person who should say sorry should be me. You are a good girl, and I hurt you."
Logan looked at her and wanted to say something. He opened his mouth but finally changed to a helpless sigh.
"Forget it. I can't protect myself now. I can't control you anymore, you can figure it out yourself."
After Logan said these words, he got upstairs as his back bleak and lonely.
Logan has always treated Giselle with gentle affection. It was also because of the support of him that she managed to get close to James and marry him. Now, listening to him say such things, Giselle feels uncomfortable.
She was cheerful and bright at the beginning. She's not afraid of the sky or anything.
He thought she would make James fall in love with him, and promised in front of him that she would make James happy.
But after five years, she was the first person to give up.
She didn't make him happy, but even herself became unhappy.
Can she not give up on such a marriage that makes two people unhappy?
After James' father left, Giselle stood still and thought a lot. She was only immersed in her sad mood and did not notice that James, who was standing next to her, had been staring at her with heavy eyes.
After she finished her daze, she realized that she and James were the only ones left in the living room.
She didn't intend to have any intersection with James. She avoided his inexplicable sight, turned around and planned to leave, but he grabbed her wrist abruptly. His words of restraining her anger sounded.
"What are you going to do?"
"It has nothing to do with you!"
Giselle shook his hand vigorously as he spoke, trying to break away from his shackles.
James was even angrier with her indifferent words, and when she used her hand, she pulled her into his arms, and the two stood facing each other.
At such a close distance, Giselle could see the blue veins bursting out of his forehead because of the anger. He gritted his teeth and questioned her.
"Are you satisfied with making this house so smoggy?"
