Kira wiped away the tears with the back of her hand. She couldn’t lie to herself; the four years spent with Gideon were the four best years of her life as well. She had her father, and she had Gideon, who was a brother and a best friend and a boyfriend all rolled into one, and she was happy. ‘After I took back control of the family, women threw themselves at me.
