Chapter 54: The Suit Jacket
Alison was at her wit’s end.
As she opened her mouth to speak, Oliver snatched the umbrella from her hand.
“Oliver, what do you want?” Alison asked, exasperated, trying to pull the umbrella back.
But just then, a strong gust of wind blew, and the umbrella was ripped from her grasp, flying away.
“Damn it, Oliver, you’re such a jerk!”
“I told you, this isn’t over,” Oliver’s voice was heavy, filled with an oppressive intensity that was hard to ignore.
Alison froze, remembering the words Oliver had said in the storage room.
Raindrops fell on her, bringing a chill that made her shiver involuntarily. She clutched the suit jacket draped over her shoulders tighter.
Seeing her action, Oliver’s eyes flashed with annoyance. He pulled the jacket off Alison’s shoulders and tossed it to the ground.
“What the hell are you doing, Oliver?” Alison’s eyes blazed with anger. “It’s just a jacket, and it’s Aristine’s!”
