CHAPTER FIFTY NINE - FINDING BALANCE

Later that evening, Anna found herself in the library, her mind still reeling from the events of the day. She was so lost in thought that she didn't hear Erik enter until he spoke. "That was quite a speech you gave." Anna turned, offering him a small smile. "I'm sorry if I overstepped. I just... I couldn't stay silent." Erik shook his head, moving to stand beside her. "You have nothing to apologize for. You handled yourself admirably. I'm proud of you, Anna." The warmth in his voice made Anna's heart skip a beat.
