Paulette and Jenny did not want to whittle away endlessly at their stash, either. When they heard that Irene was planning to go out and stock up, they both asked to join. The poor girls had no idea that Irene was planning to stock up in a less-than-legal way. They both thought they were going to the store to buy supplies. Since Paulette and Jenny had no experience surviving in the apocalypse, Irene did not tell them straight-up that they were heading out to loot. Instead, she asked the two of them to do strength training for the next two days. She thought it would be difficult for them, but both girls did surprisingly well. Paulette was a civil engineering major, after all. Pure theory would not get her far in her field, so she had plenty of on-site experience as well. As such, she had pretty good stamina.
