Paulette was a little worried that they would break in. If a few dozen men poured in, there was no way the girls could survive. No matter how good Irene was at fighting, she would not be able to hold them off for too long.
Jenny sat down on the floor, crossing her legs and shaking her head. "Don't worry. It's really hot out there, so they'll have to leave in another hour, tops."
The air in the corridor was even more suffocating than in the room, and there were no curtains to block out the heat. If the people outside kept up their vigor and energy, they would be lucky not to pass out from heatstroke.
Jenny's reasoning reassured Paulette, if only a little.
