CHAPTER 110 ACCEPTANCE

I cleaned myself up right away and smashed some cold water on my face to make my senses alert again. The coolness helped a little, but the worry gnawed at me relentlessly. I went back to my room and sat on the bed. It felt as if I was carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders now because of how heavily conflicted I was.
I had to choose between sacrificing my comfort and risking the life of the baby and helping the village and saving the lives of hundreds of people here.
