CHAPTER 109 DEEP SECRET.

I sat by the window, staring out the village below. It had been two days since I passed out at the border and I was no longer at the boundary now. Anya insisted that I should be taken back to the Packhouse immediately. She didn't want me stressing myself any more and wanted to make sure of that.
My mind was nothing but a whirlwind of worries and fears now because I doubted I was ever going to be allowed back there until I'd recovered fully, and there was no recovery fully from this. I knew I had to tell them the truth about my condition sooner or later. I wasn't going to hide it from them forever.
They deserved to know but my greatest fear was being excluded from helping the village. The thought troubled me so much. The wendigos were out there, lurking in the darkness and probably coming closer to this village and the thought of their monster forms arriving at the village border made me more scared than anything else.
