Chapter 40 THIRTY-NINE

MORGIANA'S POV The pain came in waves that I opened my eyes as soon as I closed them. Then hot tears burned my eyes. All my senses were dulled and it was as if everything went to me feeling my the stab. Hawke stabbed me without warning. I so badly want to scream profanities at him or curse him until he turns into a frog or some ugly ass creature but I couldn't even say anything other than scream. The next thing I heard were the voices. I don't know what it was at first but as I looked at Hawke, his mouth was moving. He was chanting a spell. His hand was still on the dagger that was still buried on my gut. I wanted to move but I think he did something so I wouldn't be able to do a thing as he do his process. At that moment, I regretted ever agreeing to what Hawke was planning to do. I regretted not listening to what Alaris was saying. I didn't believe him and I was too stupid to tell him he could just save me from almost dying. I didn't feel like almost dying and I don't think it's g
