Chapter 3 Lack of Common Decency
As soon as Haichen saw him step on the phone, she touched her face instinctively. She looked like a ghost now, so he probably wouldn't recognize her.
Thinking so, Haichen walked up and pointed to the phone being crushed under the gentleman's real leather shoe. "Sir... my phone..."
Isaac lifted the corner of his lips, asking her back, "Your phone?"
Haichen calmly replied, "Yes."
Henha picked up the phone. Griffin's face lit up on the illuminated screen.
"Your phone," Isaac emphasized the word "your" with a hint of amusement.
Haichen cursed inwardly, "I... found the phone. It belongs to a customer from the private room just now, and I was about to return it to him!"
Isaac questioned, "Oh really? Are you sure you didn't... steal it?"
Haichen raised three fingers, "I swear to God! I absolutely didn't steal it!"
Isaac sneered, "The oath of a liar. Do you think I'm a fool?"
Haichen raised both hands in surrender, "Since you don't trust me, you can return it to the customer yourself."
Haichen didn't want to linger either and briskly walked out of the restroom.
Isaac signaled to Henha with his eyes. Henha intercepted her after a few steps, grabbing her arm and pinning her against the sink.
Haichen exclaimed, "What are you doing?"
Isaac's eyes showed a hint of cold amusement. "Speak up. Who sent you?"
"You're talking nonsense!"
Isaac just glanced at her indifferently, took out a handkerchief, moistened it, and forcefully wiped her face twice.
The handkerchief came out clean. Isaac was rare in showing surprise. Henha held her up, and Isaac pressed her face with his palm, vigorously wiping her cheek a few times.
Still clean.
Isaac remained silent. Henha was about to say something, but Isaac gestured for him to stop.
The restroom had a mixed smell. Under the various fragrances, Isaac leaned in to deeply smell her neck.
Haichen angrily dodged to the side, "Are you both crazy?"
Isaac could be sure it wasn't Henha's fault.
At that moment, Griffin's angry voice came from outside the restroom: "What are you blocking here for? Get out of the way!"
The bodyguard at the door dared not stop him. When Griffin rushed in, he saw this scene. He squinted his eyes and glanced at Henha a few times.
"I didn't expect someone to be so shameless." Griffin looked disgusted. "Even if you're in a hurry, you shouldn't lack common decency like this!"
"So this is what you're into, little nephew? No wonder you're not interested in women!" Griffin felt victorious. Finally, he caught a handle on Isaac. This was a big deal.
He curiously approached Haichen. "Let me see what kind of beauty has made our little nephew so anxious!"
Seeing the large red birthmark on Haichen's face, he recoiled in horror, feeling nauseated.
"Not only is this a man, but he's also ugly!" He looked disgusted. "Little nephew, I didn't expect your tastes to be so heavy!"
Haichen cursed inwardly: What a foul-mouthed jerk!
Isaac's voice was cold and deep. "Get out!"
"You..."
Isaac's stern features seemed even more intimidating under the light. "Did your father not teach you to stay away from me if you ever saw me?"
Griffin felt a mysterious force locking him in, making it hard to breathe. He dared not move.
He wanted to say something, but Henha dropped Haichen and kicked him in the stomach. Griffin was sent flying out of the restroom, crashing into the wall and falling to the ground.
"Ah!" Griffin groaned in pain on the ground.
People in the corridor were drawn to the commotion.
"Griffin!"
Amelia rushed over and witnessed everything. Her anger turned to concern when she saw Griffin lying there in pain.
"Who are you! Are you blind? Do you know who he is? Do you have any idea what happens when you mess with the Kovnats family?" Amelia threatened, but when she saw Isaac's ruthless gaze and Henha's scarred face, she involuntarily shrank back in fear, gritting her teeth. "Don't be afraid, Griffin. I'll call Wood right away and let him teach these people a lesson!"
Griffin immediately stopped her. "No!"
His father had been warning him all this time. If he disrupted the alliance between the two families, he'd be finished.
"Lia, let's not bother with them. I'm in pain. Next time, I'll make them pay. Let's go." Griffin was sweating coldly from the pain, and Amelia quickly helped him up.
Isaac sneered, and Haichen widened her eyes, thinking: Amelia's got guts!
At that moment, Cantice arrived too. She missed the previous scene but saw the two people leaning on each other from afar. Jealousy surged within her.
"Griffin! What happened to you!" Cantice ran over with a soft voice, seeming on the verge of tears, as if she hadn't even seen Amelia beside him, who was pushed aside.
"Griffin, who did this?" Cantice instinctively glanced at Amelia first. Amelia glared back fiercely, scaring Cantice into shrinking back.
"Do you want to see what's going on here? Do you believe I'll gouge your eyes out!" Amelia threatened fiercely.
Cantice, frightened, stumbled. If it were any other time, Griffin would have been taken in by her act, but Griffin was overwhelmed now, not to mention that Henha's kick was very skillful. While it wouldn't leave an immediate mark or injury, it would definitely cause internal damage that would require bed rest for at least ten days to two weeks.
Griffin, led by her, also fell down, rolling on the ground in pain.
Haichen couldn't help but burst into laughter!
Isaac glanced at her.
Cantice also found the voice familiar and subconsciously glanced over, surprised and unable to feel the pain anymore. "Uncle... Uncle!"
Isaac's cold eyes were filled with disdain. "I originally thought you were just a little flirtatious, but I didn't expect you to lack common decency!"
Haichen silently praised him in her heart. He was right!
"So my good nephew likes this, huh? I didn't expect your tastes to be so heavy."
Haichen almost burst into laughter again. She didn't expect this man to be so petty, turning Griffin's words back on him.
She liked it!
Isaac's expression was as cold as dead water. When he saw the person who had been watching the excitement at the door, he found it somewhat amusing.
Haichen's hair stood on end all over her body. She quickly stood up, holding back her laughter, and cleared her throat, "It looks like this gentleman is in a lot of pain. I'll go see if there's a doctor!" With that, she ran away immediately!
Who cares if he dies!
Let them fight!
The bigger the fight, the better! It'd be best if it escalated! Let the whole city of Shacala know!!
What a spectacle!
Hurry, run!
Isaac watched her fleeing figure deeply, as if contemplating something.
"Master, should I...?"
Isaac didn't say anything, and Henha kept quiet too.
It seems this person has a grudge with Griffin...
Isaac frowned, adjusted his suit jacket, and glanced at the three people on the ground before leaving. "Next time, keep your eyes open, got it?"
None of the three dared to say a word.
