Chapter 2 Hatred
When MacIntyre woke up, it was already the morning of the third day.
He didn't remember what had happened over the past few days, except for the hatred he felt towards the two sisters.
At that moment, the witch brought him a bowl of water. She looked very old, with a large hooked nose and a mouth full of black teeth.
"Don't worry, you were lucky to meet me. Not even Jesus could have saved you."
She chuckled as she spoke.
MacIntyre then realized that his broken feet had healed, and even the organs that had been taken from him had regenerated, though the excruciating pain was still unbearable.
"You were badly injured and need to recover slowly. I'm old and can only do so much. Saving you might cost me my life."
MacIntyre was shocked. He couldn't believe such a thing was possible, but seeing the witch coughing constantly, he knew it was because of him.
MacIntyre knelt in front of the witch. "Thank you for saving me. I will take care of you."
The witch shook her head with a smile. "Your mission is important. You shouldn't be held back by someone on the verge of death. Saving you also completes my own mission."
The witch sighed deeply and began to tell MacIntyre about his background.
It turned out that MacIntyre possessed the rare Eye of Zeus, which allowed him to see things others couldn't, even from thousands of miles away.
However, the Eye of Zeus had been hidden deep within his own eyes and would not have emerged if Marissa hadn't gouged out his eye.
The more the witch spoke, the harder she coughed until she finally collapsed into MacIntyre's arms.
"Child, this staff contains all my power. Take it."
As MacIntyre took the staff, he felt a warm flow of energy surge into his body. He quickly felt rejuvenated and full of strength.
The witch nodded, pulled out a small bottle, and slowly closed her eyes, disappearing along with the staff.
MacIntyre bowed to the witch. "Rest in peace. I will pass on this power."
Afterward, MacIntyre opened the bottle, which contained some red pills.
Since they were left by the witch, he didn't hesitate to take one. Immediately, he felt dizzy, his eyes ached, and the wounds on his body began to heal rapidly.
It turned out that these pills could unlock his potential. Now, he had activated the Eye of Zeus and completed the initial level of its power. Although he was currently at the lowest level, with continuous training, he would eventually reach the peak.
"Marissa, Selena!"
"You will pay for what you did to me, tenfold!"
MacIntyre couldn't contain his impulse any longer and wanted to confront them immediately.
Returning to Gomez Manor, he saw Selena driving away with a servant, likely to attend a charity event in town. They both wanted a good reputation, but behind closed doors, they were bloodsucking demons.
MacIntyre planned to throw out their belongings and burn them, then exact his revenge when they returned. However, upon entering the house, he found Marissa alone in the living room, sipping wine and wearing only a see-through nightgown.
She must be here sneaking around with another man!
When MacIntyre's father was alive, he had discovered that Marissa was a promiscuous woman, never satisfied with her life, often seducing men in town to gain more benefits.
It was said she even had a price for her favors. His father knew this but was too frail to do anything about it.
Now, having taken over the manor, Marissa became even more brazen. MacIntyre, locked in the attic, often heard lewd sounds from downstairs.
Worse still, after his father's death, Marissa replaced all the household staff with her own people, gaining full control of the manor and completely ignoring MacIntyre's plight.
Marissa's figure was undeniably alluring, with curves and fair skin. Her voluptuous chest made the inexperienced MacIntyre's mouth dry.
"Back so soon?"
Marissa thought it was Selena. When she turned around and saw MacIntyre, she dropped her wine glass in shock.
"It's you? How..."
"Surprised?" MacIntyre sneered, straightening up and walking towards Marissa.
Marissa just stared at him in shock, not noticing that his eyes were fixed on her body.
"Hmph, nothing surprising. If it weren't for my protection, you'd be dead already."
Marissa maintained her superior attitude, seeing MacIntyre as nothing more than an ant she could crush at any moment.
But she seemed to forget that the man standing before her was no longer the powerless boy but a man filled with murderous intent.
Marissa poured herself another glass of wine. "Crawl back to the attic and stay out of sight."
MacIntyre frowned. This cruel woman still thought he would obey her? He had enough of living like a dog.
MacIntyre stepped forward, grabbed the glass, and poured the wine all over Marissa, sneering, "Where do you think you're sending me? This is my home."
Marissa quickly stripped off her soiled nightgown, revealing her naked body.
"You want to die!"
Marissa wiped her body with a tissue, her movements inflaming MacIntyre's rage.
"What are you standing there for? Get out!"
Smash!
MacIntyre shattered the glass on the floor, grabbing Marissa by the hair and pulling her close.
"Why so arrogant? You think I pity you? Disobey me, and I'll make you pay!"
With that, MacIntyre dragged Marissa to the sofa. "I'll make sure you and Selena pay for everything you've done to me!"
Marissa, who had traveled far and wide, was well-versed in such threats. Although she struggled in pain, she didn't care about MacIntyre's threats.
"What do you want? Don't think I fear you!"
Marissa shook off MacIntyre's hand, her eyes icy cold. "This is your last chance. Crawl back, or I'll make your life a living hell!"
After taking over the manor, Marissa expanded her business to the town, making the winery business nationwide, even showing signs of export potential. Even the mayor and district head treated her with respect, giving her a lot of confidence.
When MacIntyre's father was alive, he was very respectful to Marissa, treating her as family.
Marissa was a woman of her word, often beating and scolding Selena. From then on, MacIntyre dared not defy her and avoided her every day.
But now, with the Eye of Zeus, MacIntyre felt no fear in front of Marissa.
"I have many plans, but there's no rush."
MacIntyre hadn't figured out how to avenge Marissa yet, but looking at the naked woman before him, he seemed to have an idea.
Marissa finally noticed MacIntyre's gaze and deliberately moved closer to him. "Just like your father. Too bad you're a waste. Your kidney was sold. What can you do?"
Marissa couldn't help but mock him, "You're no longer a man. Being alive is my gift to you. Kneel before me!"
MacIntyre trembled with rage, but Marissa continued to push him, "What? Not satisfied? Come on, show me what you got!"
"Marissa, even at death's door, you dare shout at me. Fine, today I'll show you what a real man is!"
