Fun question. What were we currently doing? Oh well. We had scheduled a meeting with Cassandra and her team to talk about the debacle of the message she had put out into the world. Basically, I was of the opinion she had gone bat-shit crazy, but hey, everyone else said she deserved to be listened to, so I simply kept my mouth shut.
*We might as well see what she has to say,* I told myself.
We quickly put together a patchwork of a team, with even a lawyer on standby, waiting for what I considered the most ridiculous meeting of the century. But hey, who was I to complain?
Richard looked at me and then looked away, shaking his head slightly. “What does she hope to gain from doing this? What does she want?”
I shrugged. “Did the two of you meet up or something?”
He shook his head, a hint of betrayal on his face. “Really? Do you think I would ever—”
I shrugged again, shaking my head eventually. “You tell me.”
