Alonso went quiet, his head lowered. When next he raised his eyes, they were clouded with tears. The host handed him a tissue. " I can't even get angry at her because it's not her fault, and she doesn't know what she's saying," he went on. The host gave him some seconds to compose himself, before he went on with the questioning. " They say their is a recording of you talking with the director of the hospital she was at," he went on. " They claim in the recording you would be heard telling the director to withhold life-sustaining treatment from your wife." Alonso shaked his head. " I never did such thing. As I was pretty busy and had not had time to visit the hospital after her surgery, I invited the director over to my house one evening to discuss her treatment. He had given me a lot of calls, and I was worried." The host nodded for him to go on. " When he arrived, he talked about how her condition was not improving, and how she has a very slim chance of waking up, and migh
