Chapter 7

Just an hour ago, Estelle's second oldest biological brother, Timothy Sawford, realized that Alison had symptoms of morning sickness. As such, he became suspicious instantly. While Alison tried to be secretive and was unwilling to tell him the truth, he became even more suspicious about whether she was expecting. In the end, after much probing, Alison finally revealed the truth. She was indeed pregnant. Timothy was stunned to find out that the woman who was like his favorite younger sister was pregnant. Then, with his eyes looking red, he questioned, "Whose is it? Who's that bastard who knocked you up?" He balled his hands into fists at the thought that an unworthy man had laid his hands on Alison. After a long while, he couldn't contain himself. He slammed his fist into the wall next to Alison's head. But then, he took a deep breath and regained his composure quickly. "Alison, you are still young. Was it some bastard who forced you? Tell me. I will avenge you!" Alison bit down on her lip for a while, unwilling to answer. Seeing as she was unwilling to tell him the truth, Timothy let out a helpless sigh. He tilted her chin upward and softened his tone. "Alison, I am your older brother, so you can be at ease. I just want to know who it is." After saying that, Timothy paused. His gaze turned frigid, and so did his tone. "Or is this someone you can't name?" Alison reacted as if she felt the change in Timothy's attitude or that someone had just guessed a secret of hers. She welled up immediately, and her eyes turned red. "I'm sorry. I will abort this child." She lifted her head and gazed at Timothy through her misty eyes. Caught off guard by the fact that she cried, Timothy became anxious. Frantically, he wiped her tears and pulled her into his arms, caressing her back and consoling her gently. "I wasn't telling you off. This child is Dillon's, isn't it?" Alison stiffened up. Feeling the changes in her physically, Timothy became even more certain that his guess was right. He let go of Alison, then cupped her face in his hands. Smiling gently at her, he said, "This is Dillon's child you are carrying. I'm sure he's also looking forward to the birth of the baby. "I will call the shots and make you his wife." Upon saying that, he rushed out of the washroom. Once he got back into the living room, he picked his phone up and called Estelle. But even after a few consecutive calls, no one answered. He knitted his brows together as impatience filled his eyes. "How bold of this troublemaker not to answer her phone," he mumbled. Then, he dialed Dillon's number. Just as he was about to hit the call button, Alison snatched his phone out of his hands intuitively. Upon seeing that, he looked toward Alison with a puzzled look on his face. "Alison, are you wishing to hide it from Dillon?" Alison nodded stiffly. "Timothy, this is a personal matter. I don't want to make Estelle mad. Plus, this child shouldn't be here in the first place. I'll just get rid of it." "No!" Timothy protested without any hesitation. Noticing how tormented Alison looked, Timothy's heart ached for her again. He threw his arms around her and patted the back of her head. "You and Dillon are in love with one another. If it wasn't because that jinx played a trick to take him away from you, you should be the one who's married to him now. "I am just trying to make things right." Moreover, Estelle was the one who was in the wrong in the first place. Couldn't she be more mature and let Alison, the younger one, have her way? That being said, what Timothy had forgotten was the fact that Estelle and Alison were only a few months apart. Alison looked up and studied the disgust toward Estelle that was blatantly obvious on Timothy's face. She curled her lips into a sly smile. All of a sudden, she pressed her hands on her stomach as a pained expression came across her face. Timothy panicked. He scurried to get the driver to get the car and send her to the hospital. When they arrived at the hospital, they both happened to overhear a doctor reminding a nurse to keep her eyes on Estelle. Timothy even instructed his driver to ask around and confirm that it was Estelle who was in the hospital ward. That was how he ended up in Estelle's ward. Forcing herself to withstand the pain, Estelle picked the divorce agreement up and scanned through it. Then, she let out a contemptuous scoff. "One million dollars?" The scornful glare in Timothy's eyes intensified when he heard her voice. "You should be thankful you'll even get a million dollars. If you've got some sense in you, you should just sign it and get that divorce from Dillon. You have been his wife for long enough." Estelle pursed her lips slightly. She was tempted to laugh, but the piercing pain in her stomach drained her of any energy to even laugh. She grasped tightly onto her sheets and gritted her teeth to stop herself from making a sound. In Timothy's eyes, this was her way of resisting. He sniggered. "Like I've said, one day, you will have to return all that which does not belong to you." Upon hearing that, Estelle lifted her head with a very faint smile on her face. A short moment after, she reached her hand out toward Timothy. Timothy stepped back immediately out of disgust. "What are you trying to do? I won't be giving you any money." She rolled her eyes out of reflex. But when she thought about how that was a little unrefined, she chuckled. "Mr. Sawford, don't you think you should give me a pen if you want me to sign this?" Timothy was stunned. Fixing his eyes on her, he exclaimed in surprise, "You're actually going to sign it?" Smiling slightly, Estelle nodded. "You were right, Mr. Sawford. Eventually, I will have to return that which does not belong to me. Right now, I am going to return everything to its rightful place." Whether it was the Sawford family or Dillon, she no longer wanted either of them. Timothy studied her carefully for a while, then pulled a pen out and threw it at her. "Good to know you've got some sense." Estelle signed her name on the divorce agreement speedily, then handed the document back to Timothy. "Please hurry up, Mr. Sawford. The fact that Dillon is refusing to divorce me has been really bugging me, too." Timothy scoffed when he heard that. He said, "You're so good with your words, aren't you? If Dillon found out that you were finally willing to divorce him, he might even pop a champagne to celebrate." He put the agreement away carefully, then turned around and left without any hesitation. Seeing that Timothy had left, Estelle took a deep breath before pulling the covers back to get out of bed carefully. Since she had handed the divorce agreement in, she no longer wished to be connected with the Sawfords in any way. The best option was for her to leave this place now. She changed into her own clothes and got ready to leave the ward. Right at this moment, the door to the room opened once again. Timothy had returned. She couldn't help but feel annoyed when she saw that it was him. "Why did you come back?" Timothy felt a little dazed and flustered when he heard the displeased tone in her voice. In the past, she would never speak with him in such a tone. She would always be very glad whenever she saw him. But now… Timothy thought about it briefly and figured that Estelle had to be playing hard-to-get right now. When he looked toward her again, a grim expression had come back onto his face. "No, can do. You have to come with me now." "What?" Estelle stepped back in shock as she stared at Timothy in disbelief. Was she just hallucinating earlier? Without giving her a chance to protest, Timothy grabbed her by her wrist and pulled her out of the hospital ward. After entering the elevator, he expressed his contempt. "I'm sure that you're pretending to be meek before me. You signed the agreement so readily, but you're going to change your mind right after, aren't you?" Estelle was speechless. She couldn't understand it. She was giving up on everything now. Why were these people still making the worst assumptions they possibly could about her? The sorrow that welled up in her heart made her extremely uncomfortable. She lowered her eyes and started laughing at herself. Once she was done, she looked up at Timothy. "So, Mr. Sawford, what do you plan on doing?"
