As if suddenly recalled something, Samantha rushed forward to snatch the book back from Joseph. Joseph was confused at first. But upon seeing Samantha's reaction, he realized there might have been something fishy in the book. He instinctively held the book above his head, letting Samantha claw at him. "Give me back the book, Joseph!" Joseph laughed. "What did you hide in the book that made you this panicked?" he asked as he held the book even further out of her reach. Samantha was a fairly small woman, reaching only to Joseph's chest. Even when she was standing on her tiptoes, she couldn't reach his arm, let alone the book in his hand.
