Chapter 43 Sharing Good News
The property manager looked at the shattered glass scattered across the floor with concern.
Sierra shook her head, forcing a smile. "It's fine. I'm okay. Thank you for coming so quickly."
"It's the least we could do. Ms. Shaw, if something like this happens again, don't open the door. Just contact the security office, and we'll send someone to handle it." The manager spoke gently.
Sierra nodded, then, after seeing the manager off and closing the door, leaned weakly against it. She curled up, unable to hold back any longer, and trembled as the tears finally fell.
Why? Why did Benson have to treat her this way?
Meanwhile, he was being dragged out of the complex by the security guards, his face contorted in fury. A man of his status had never been treated like this before.
"Sir, please leave, or we'll have to call the police," one of the guards said, his tone flat but laced with disdain.
