Unfortunately for Yovanna, Xavier would never show up. There was no way Miranda could tell Yovanna to stop waiting because he was asleep at her home. That would be insane. After thinking it over, Miranda finally said, "Ms. Yates, you should head inside, too. Mr. Schneider will definitely be concerned if he sees you out here." Yovanna narrowed her eyes. That was exactly her plan—to make him worry about her. "It's alright. I'm not afraid of the cold." What else could Miranda say if Yovanna was insistent? She left her alone and headed upstairs. After an hour, Yovanna entered the secretarial office with the insulated lunch box, looking utterly disappointed. The secretaries tensed up, bracing themselves for the upcoming crisis. "Um… could any of you reach my Xavy?" The secretaries exchanged uneasy looks. If she couldn't reach him, how on earth would it have been possible for them? When no one responded, Yovanna pouted, looking upset. "Xavy's still not here. Aren't you all worried?"
