Chapter 28 Tensions and Transformations
The decision to integrate more stakeholders was followed by rather intensive and informative weeks for us. To this end, new parts and our Martyr advisor helped to provide a clearer picture of the setup of schools and the danger of moving too quickly. What seemed apparent was the fact that although Marcus was correct in his observations it is important to get down to business and not overdo productive imagination, which often includes risk-taking and deviation from values.
However, the Level of conflict with Marcus increased. He became more intolerant of what he perceived as our ‘slow-moving’ and ‘risk-averse’ style. He substantiated this logic by stating that the current moment is the best time to push forward because the school has achieved much and has the momentum on its side.
