Karen glanced at the steaming black coffee and looked up at Ms. Tucker, who was standing beside her. Ms. Tucker was staring at her as if she was scrutinizing her. Karen felt uncomfortable being looked at, so she frowned and said, “Go do what you have to do. Don’t stand there and look at me.” Ms. Tucker was startled at her suggestion as she could not leave the office when Karen was inside. If anything went missing, she would be in trouble.
