The boy was about three or four years old.

Jennie was reluctant to leave.
Joshua grew impatient. ‘Mummy’s waiting for you.’
The girl pouted. ‘But I don’t want to take the medicine.’
‘Then you shouldn’t have kicked off your blanket in the middle of the night.’ Joshua was stern.
‘But I don’t want to take the medicine,’ Jennie repeated.
She shook off Joshua’s hand and clung to Austyn’s legs. ‘Daddy, I don’t want to take the medicine!’
