CHAPTER NINETY NINE – WRITING MOJO
It was a lazy Saturday afternoon and Madison was determined to make progress on her script. She had cleared her schedule, sent Donald out to play at a friend's house, and settled in at the cozy desk in her home office. A blank document stared back at her on the computer screen, the cursor blinking tauntingly.
"Okay, Madison, you can do this," she muttered to herself. "Just start writing..."
Her fingers hovered over the keys, but the words wouldn't come. She furrowed her brow and began typing, slowly at first, then a flurry of sentences spilled out. But after re-reading what she'd written, she frowned and hit the backspace, erasing it all.
"No, that's no good. Try again..."
Two hours passed in this agonizing cycle - writing, backspacing, staring into space, scribbling notes on her legal pad only to ball it up in frustration and toss it towards the trash can. The empty pages were taunting her.
