Amelia found herself caught in the middle, trying to mediate between Alessandro's fury and Michael's seemingly well-intentioned meddling. But as she observed Michael more closely, she began to notice subtle inconsistencies in his behavior.
One afternoon, while helping Michael organize some paperwork in his temporary office, Amelia noticed a series of unmarked folders tucked away in a drawer. Curiosity got the better of her, and when Michael stepped out for a moment, she quickly flipped through one of them.
Her blood ran cold as she saw familiar handwriting – Dante's scrawl, unmistakable after years of family dinners and holiday cards. The contents of the letter were vague, but the implications were clear. Michael and Dante were in contact, and whatever they were planning, it wasn't good for Alessandro or the company.
