Chapter 42 Confrontation

In front of everyone, Logan and Kieran's confrontation grew tense. Sebastian watched anxiously from the sidelines. Having worked for the Carter family for years, he knew Kieran well. Aside from his rebellious youth, Kieran had grown more measured in recent years, living according to the rules and never doing anything to anger Logan. Yet, Logan had always disliked him deeply for some reason. In a powerful family like the Carters, winning Logan's favor was the only way to push aside Nelson. Sebastian hesitated, then said softly, "Mr. Kieran, Mr. Carter Senior is doing this for your own good." Kieran cast him a cold glance before his gaze returned to Logan. "Grandfather, where is it?" Nearby, some guests turned their attention toward them. Logan's previously dark expression softened slightly, and for a moment, he seemed less co
