Chapter 25 The Dream
Johnson’s dreams were filled with images of Maria.
It was summer, in an air-conditioned room.
Maria was lying beside him.
She wore a dress, lazily reclining on the sofa, her smooth, fair arm resting behind her head.
Sunlight streamed through the sheer curtains, casting a soft glow on Maria’s delicate face.
Maria smiled and turned her head, playfully touching Johnson’s face with one slender finger.
With a seductive smile, Maria asked Johnson, "Darling, if I broke up with you, would you miss me?"
Johnson looked at Maria’s face, swallowed hard, and smiled.
"Of course not. I’ll always be by your side, and I’ll never break up with you."
Maria giggled, then leaned her full body against Johnson’s, lowering her head towards him. Just as their lips were about to meet, Johnson suddenly woke up.
"It was all... a dream."
Johnson muttered to himself.
He slowly opened his eyes, and the room around him was still dark. The black walls seemed to reflect the silhouette of a graceful girl.
