Noel paused in his steps, turning to look at Dariel, who had been following him. "Don't tell her a word," he commanded.
"Why not? Ms. Spencer thinks you don't want to help. She believes she's all alone in this."
Dariel didn't want to see his boss silently putting in all his effort, only to be misunderstood by the woman he cared about.
"Do as I say, or you'll lose your job as my assistant." His tall figure then slipped into the car.
