Melina waved from a distance and called out, "Mr. Henderson! Mrs. Henderson! I'm back."
Helena, who was in the midst of berating Samuel, snapped at Melina, "Why did you rush back? It's not like we can't survive without you."
Melina was used to Helena's biting tongue and knew the latter meant well, so she didn't take those words to heart.
After tying on her apron, she hurried over to help move some of the stock around. "Let me, Mrs. Henderson! I'll do it. You know you're not in the best of health. Mr. Henderson hired me so that you could get some proper rest. Since I'm here, you shouldn't tire yourself out. Just sit down and relax."
"Now, now. Don't think you'll get anything from me just because you're a sweet talker," Helena said before stuffing a hardboiled egg into Melina's pocket. "I'm too full, so you can have this. You'll work harder on a full stomach."
