Rowan's simple reply mercilessly crushed Seth. It was like knives of regret that cut deeper and deeper into him.
Seth's grip on the phone tightened. His knuckles turned white, and his eyes reddened. In a broken voice, he mumbled, "Daisy is my daughter."
