Natalie glanced at Sophia. "I don't have feelings for him anymore."
Sophia's eyes met hers. She grinned. "Oh, you don't have to tell me as long as you're aware of how you feel."
Natalie looked at her insistently. "Don't you believe me?"
"Does it matter? Whether I believe you or not, it won't change anything, will it?"

Before she could finish speaking, three knocks sounded on their car window.
Natalie turned her head.
Taylor was leaning forward on the other side of the window. The dim street lamps shone on his back, giving his figure a warm glow and making his frigid expression much more gentle.
Because of how near he was to the car window, his handsome face appeared to be magnified. He had a slight smile on his face and a rather warm look in his eyes.
