He was so infuriating that she wished she could be rid of him once and for all. The thought of dealing with him any longer was unbearable.
Natalie felt utterly exhausted.
She slumped into the couch and spoke tiredly, "Are you done talking? If so, leave. I'm tired and need to rest."
Taylor, his expression unchanging, replied, "I'm staying here tonight."
Her teeth clenched as she tried to contain her anger. She looked up at him. "Do you really think that's appropriate?"
He chuckled lightly, unfazed as he responded, "Why wouldn't it be?"
"You have a girlfriend. Staying under the same roof as your ex-wife—anyone would find that inappropriate. Do you really need me to spell that out for you?"
"We're under the same roof but not sharing a bed. Carla trusts me, and she's not the type to jump to conclusions. She's the most understanding and caring woman I've ever met."
