Chapter 4
As Taylor pushed open the bedroom door, a troubling thought crossed his mind—could there be something wrong with the water he drank earlier? However, he reasoned that George wouldn't resort to drugging him.
Stepping into the bedroom, Taylor immediately spotted a person reclining on his couch. It was Natalie!
Fury surged within Taylor as he approached her. Fixing his gaze on the woman's peaceful sleeping form, memories of her distant demeanor at the café earlier flooded his mind. It was quite the contrast, and he couldn't help but muse.
Without hesitation, Taylor roughly yanked off Natalie's coat. "Who gave you the right to sleep on my couch? Get up right now!"
Natalie stirred slightly and furrowed her brows. However, she remained fast asleep. Taylor's sudden movement caused her loose sweater to slip down. The sight of her soft, rounded chest intensified the tension coursing through Taylor's body.
Taylor clenched his jaw and swallowed hard. He was now certain that George had drugged him.
Did Grandpa believe that by doing so, he would be induced to sleep with Natalie? Dream on!
Ignoring Natalie, who was fast asleep, Taylor rushed to the bathroom for a cold shower.
Twenty minutes later, Taylor emerged from the bathroom with the lingering desire somewhat diminished. Drying his hair with the towel, he couldn't help but feel his irritation flare up again as he glanced at the woman on the couch.
Taylor hurried to Natalie and seized her wrist, swiftly pulling her up from the couch.
The abrupt action caused Natalie to wince in pain, and she slowly opened her eyes. Still somewhat groggy, she gazed at the stern, handsome face before her. "Why did you take so long to come? I've been waiting for you for so long."
"Waiting? Were you waiting for me to sleep with you?" Taylor hissed.
Natalie became more alert. The sight of Taylor in a bathrobe stirred a sense of unease within her. "Why did you take a shower now? Is dinner ready?"
Dinner? Hah, she was only concerned about food!
Taylor tugged Natlie's wrist forward. Caught off guard, Natalie's forehead pressed against his chest.
Sensing Taylor's body stiffened, Natalie instantly recoiled. She looked at him and said, "W-What's going on? I was waiting downstairs but felt a little tired. I called you, but you didn't answer. So, I followed Larry's instructions and came to your room."
Natalie tugged at her wrist, but Taylor's gaze held firm. He showed no intention of releasing her.
"I promise not to enter your room without permission next time. Can you please let go of me now?"
Natalie pursed her lip and pleaded.
"I've been drugged."
"What?"
For once in two years, Taylor spoke to her without anger, "It's an aphrodisiac. Grandpa probably wants a great-grandchild."
Natalie was taken aback. "What... do we do now?"
Taylor's gaze lingered on her chest, where her sweater had concealed her modesty. An unexpected pang of regret stirred within him. Meeting her eyes again, he took a step forward. "What do you think?"
Natalie, who was usually brave, felt unusually timid. She stammered, "M-Maybe we should skip dinner
and go to the hospital. After all—"
Taylor was captivated by Natalie's red lips. Unable to resist any longer, he leaned in and kissed her.
Natalie widened her eyes in disbelief.
