Chapter 29
To prevent me from cleaning up the strewn documents, the firm workers virtually yanked me away. They both became pallid, as if I was committing a major evil by assisting them. They are overreacting, so I merely shook my head at them.
Because I am the one who caused these documents to be strewn across the floor, I should pitch in to assist clean it up. I feel sorry for the man I ran into. He still appeared exhausted; perhaps he was transporting those stacks of papers from the lower floors.
"Maam, we will take care of it; please return to Sir"s office," one of the employees said. His companions nodded in accord with what he stated at the same time. I just gave them a friendly smile.
I calmly respond, "No, it is fine; I am not doing anything inside his office either."
I was taken aback by how they all reacted. They looked dissatisfied with my response and almost messed up their hair.
