Chapter 2274
Bear kicked the stall door hard, and it swung open. However, Callum was nowhere to be seen, and only a strip of cloth tied to the door.
Bear stood there stunned but soon noticed the bathroom window was wide open and rushed over to take a look. He did not see any signs of Callum. Even though they were on the third floor, he was sure the kid had escaped through the window.
"You little shit! Just wait till I catch you. I'll beat you to a pulp!" Bear snarled in frustration as he turned and ran out to give chase.
After Bear's footsteps faded, Callum finally uncovered his mouth in the neighboring stall. He gasped for air, relieved that Bear had fallen for the window trick.
Ever since he was thrown off a roof, Callum had developed a crippling fear of heights. The mere thought of looking out a high window made him shudder, let alone actually climb out one. Luckily, Bear did not know him well enough to realize that.
