CHAPTER 94: THE COMPASS OF FATE
Drakon paced restlessly in front of the house, his eyes occasionally flickering toward the yard where Dahlia had gathered his men. The witch was calm, her movements precise and deliberate as she prepared the final ingredients for the protection spell.
"Gather round, "Dahlia instructed, her voice carrying an authority that demanded attention. "This spell will shield you from most magical attacks, but it's not foolproof. You must still be vigilant."
The men formed a semicircle around her, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. Drakon moved closer, his imposing presence making even the bravest of his pack step aside.
"What do we need to Didrikson asked, his tone brisk.
Dahlia held up a small vial filled with a shimmering liquid. "Each of you must consume a drop of this potion. It will create a temporary barrier against magic. But remember, it won't last forever."
