CHAPTER 78: THE FIGHT
Dahlia sat down on a stone, her chest heaving with exhaustion. "We should be safe here." She whispered.
"Safe?" Shirley said. "We need to keep moving; they are in their wolf form. Do you think a couple of stones would stop them?"
"Where do you want to run then? “Dahlia asked. "You don't even know your way around the woods."
Shirley let out a breath. "I'll take my chances."
"We should stick together; we'll have better chances if we stay together," Dahlia said, standing up.
"Hell no, I don't even trust you," Shirley said. "You and Ryker kidnapped me so you could use my powers."
"Well, the tables have changed now; Ryker wants to kill me and take you," Dahlia said.
"It's bothersome that you change sides that easily," Shirley replied.
Dahlia was about to say something but was cut off by a loud growl. Ryker and his pack had found them.
Ryker's eyes gleamed triumph as he emerged from the trees, his pack behind him. "Did you think I wouldn't catch up to you? With your measly legs?"
