CHAPTER 37: THE JOURNEY FOR ANSWERS
It's been days on the road, and Drakon could smell the Pack's fatigue. He looked down into the stream they'd come across and felt his face was unpleasant.
"We have the best sage in our part of town." Liam stepped beside Drakon. His face was dripping sweat, and his arms were sagged. "I don't understand why we should be looking for another." He turned and looked at the tired faces of the pack members.
"I don't trust that old hag that has refused to die," Drakon said curtly. His eyes focused on the road. He seemed tired, but he could not let his Pack know that.
"Your trust doesn't come easily, eh." Liam smiled thinly, Scratching his thick beard. He wasn't about to push the matter; He'd been Drakon's loyal guard for a long time, so he knew not to.
"No, it doesn't." Drakon blinked. "I heard there is a very good sage in Venice. Probably, I can get my answers." He turned to look at the pack members, some of who were now drinking water in the stream.
We can stay here and rest for a while.
