CHAPTER 125: THE THREAT
Dahlia burst into the room where Shirley was pacing anxiously. Her arms crossed as she muttered to herself.
Her face was a mask of determination, and it brightened when she spotted Shirley. "Shirley! You are here?"
"Yes, I am," Shirley answered, raising her head to regard Dahlia. Her face was somehow sunken. " What is it?" She asked when Dahlia kept staring at her.
"You look like you've been walking this room for hours." Dahlia diverted Shirley's question.
"What else am I supposed to do?" Shirley shrugged her shoulders `` Drakon is down; the people need to heal after the last attack; the council asks questions about Drakon's whereabouts. I'm unable to answer, though." she looked at Dahlia sadly. "I'm tired."
"You don't need to be." Dahlia consoled. She strode towards Shirley and held her shoulder. " Your gods will surely save him. That I'm sure of."
Shirley corked her head sideways and smiled. "The gods have been silent for a while, Dahlia. You should know that."
