Chapter 68 An Eye for an Eye
Evelyn stared at Sophia with a mocking glint in her eyes. She asked with a calm tone, "Does it hurt?"
"This is the second time in five days you've run into me. Don't you have any new tricks?"
Sophia froze, her expression suddenly conflicted. "It was you who ran into me, and instead of apologizing, you have the nerve to turn it around on me?"
Sophia clenched her jaw, refusing to admit anything. She had anticipated a range of reactions from Evelyn, but the calm, collected response had never crossed her mind.
Evelyn arched her brow as her expression grew colder with every step she took toward Sophia.
Finally, leaning in close enough that only the two of them could hear, she whispered, "There's an old saying—three strikes and you're out."
"Sophia, I'll let this one slide. But if it happens again, don't blame me for what I choose to do next."
