Chapter 26 Gabriel's Wish
Gabriel became emotional as he looked at that half a piece of medallion. "Kid, hurry back to your room and get the other half of the medallion that you have on your bookshelf!"
Damian quietly closed his book, glancing at the heirloom on the table with a complex expression.
"What are you waiting for? Hurry up!" Gabriel urged, raising his cane and giving Damian a firm swat on the leg.
Evelyn thought he would dodge it, but he unexpectedly took it head-on without so much as a wince.
"Alright," Damian responded softly. He put down his book and strode out of the room.
Damian returned, holding a small rosewood box, in less than five minutes. He then placed it beside the heirloom.
"Evelyn, guess what's inside this box?" Gabriel's eyes twinkled with mischief as he tapped the locked wooden box.
Evelyn smiled slightly and said half-jokingly, "Could it be half a medallion?"
Gabriel's brows arched in amusement. "Open it!"
