"It's just a matter of time," Jenson teased.

The evening soon arrived. As Helen walked through the door, she spotted Abraham sitting stiffly on the sofa, clearly having waited for her for a while.
The moment he heard her footsteps, he turned to face her.
Unlike his usual confrontational demeanor, his voice held an almost fatherly tone. "You're back early. Have you had dinner? Would you like me to ask the housekeeper to warm up some food for you?"
"No thanks," Helen replied coldly, not falling for his act. She quickened her pace toward the staircase.
"Kaylee," Abraham called out, unable to maintain the pretense any longer. "I'm trying to have a civil conversation here. Don't push your luck."
Helen stopped in her tracks, crossing her arms defiantly. "So, what wise words do you have for me today?"
