Anna apologized with a regretful expression, "Ms. Stone, I'm sorry. Mr. Gabrielson said that Mr. Moore doesn't meet with young female visitors. You should head back."
Karen looked incredulous. She had been so confident, insisting that Logan would see her, only to be proven wrong so quickly. Her expression darkened on the spot.
"How is that possible? I've known Mr. Moore for years. We've stayed in touch all this while. We're not strangers."
A hint of sarcasm flickered in Anna's eyes, but it quickly disappeared, so it went unnoticed by Karen.
"Ms. Stone, we truly apologize. But please, you need to leave," Anna said politely and patiently.
Karen tried to suppress her irritation. "Fine. If Mr. Moore is too busy to see me, I'll go to his house and wait for him after work." Then, she changed her tone and asked quietly, "Is Mr. Moore still single? Does he have a girlfriend? Which family's daughter is she?"
