Logan's gaze darkened. He knew he hadn't misread Lorraine. She had the right mindset about these things and was worth his rash decision.
He said, "Now that you've scored the deal with Ernest Incorporated, you should get some rest. You woke up way too early this morning. Shall we pick the kids up together in the evening?"
"Sure." Lorraine was busiest in the morning. She'd be free in the evening.
She put her notebook away and said, "You saw how ripe the mangoes there were, right? I was worried about them spoiling because I couldn't sell them, but I don't have anything to worry about anymore. Sonia's done me a huge favor with this."
Logan agreed with her, complimenting Sonia for being a good friend without batting an eye. He knew Jacob had only come because of him. He also knew Jacob had only agreed to purchase all those fruits for the fruit baskets because of him.
