Chapter 337
Damian didn't appear angry in the slightest. Opening the car door, he said calmly, "If you haven't made up your mind, take your time to think it through, Zelda. Life's short. There's no need to live it according to others' expectations."
Zelda didn't respond but graciously stepped into the car.
Damian drove her to the institute. Relaxed, he leaned against his seat, his dark eyes lazily sweeping over her. "What do you want for lunch?"
"It's fine. There's a cafeteria at the institute. I'll eat there," she replied, her hand pausing slightly as she opened the car door.
The familiarity of this moment between them felt as though they had gone back to their time in Phoypolis.
"I'm free for lunch today. I'll have Elliot bring food from Celestial Feast, and we can eat together. How about that?" Damian's deep voice carried a trace of hope, his gaze fixed intently on her.
For some reason, Zelda found herself unable to reject him. She sighed and nodded. "Alright. I'll be free at 12:00 pm."
